X Cage – Professional Sim Racing Chassis

Every Novus racing simulator starts here. The Novus X Cage is a professional sim racing chassis built from aerospace grade aluminum, CNC-machined, laser welded, and warranted for 50 years. From the PS5 to the Misha Spec, this is the exact same chassis. The components on top change. The foundation doesn’t.

Original price was: €3,490.00.Current price is: €3,141.00. tax excluded

Validated by Professional Drivers

"The chassis is what everything depends on. The X Cage has zero flex under 25Nm of wheelbase torque. The rigidity is what separates professional equipment from consumer rigs. I can dial in the exact seating position I use in my real GT3 car."

Misha Charoudin

Professional Racing Driver

"Rally training is violent. Constant weight transfers and aggressive inputs. Two years on the X Cage, and nothing has loosened or shifted. The platform stays exactly where I set it. You stop thinking about the rig and focus entirely on driving."

The Chassis You Keep

Most sim racers buy three or four rigs in a lifetime. Each one gets outgrown, scrapped, or sold at a loss. The X Cage ends that cycle.

Start with the chassis and the components that fit your budget today. Race for a year. Swap the wheelbase for something with more torque. Race another year. Add the X Motion Kit and gain 3DOF motion with 120mm actuator stroke. Every component bolts on, swaps out, and upgrades independently. The chassis never needs replacing. Your investment compounds instead of resetting. That's what happens when ŽustAl in Europe builds your chassis from aerospace-grade aluminum the same way they build components for CERN. It simply outlasts everything you mount on it.

Novus X Cage - Complete Frame

Designed for Motion from Day One

Every X Cage ships with pre-drilled mounting points for the X Motion Kit. Start static, add professional motion whenever the timing is right. No drilling, no modification, no workarounds.

Who the X Cage Is Built For

  • Long-term builders. Planning a multi-year upgrade journey from entry-level components to flagship performance, at your own pace.
  • Component enthusiasts. You want to choose every peripheral yourself based on personal preference and research, not buy a pre-configured package.
  • Budget-conscious upgraders. Spreading the investment over time without wasting money on rigs you'll outgrow and replace.
  • Motion planners. Starting static today, knowing the 3DOF mounting points are already built into the chassis for when you're ready.

Build Your Perfect Simulator

Works with every major sim racing brand. No proprietary restrictions.

The X Cage uses universal mounting standards: ISO 70mm PCD quick-release for wheelbases and slotted T-slot profiles for pedals and accessories. That means Simucube, Fanatec, Moza, Heusinkveld, VRS, Asetek, and more. Every major component in professional sim racing mounts without adapters or forced purchases. Choose the peripherals that match your driving style and budget. They’ll mount perfectly to the X Cage.

Frequently asked questions

Because the engineering supports it. The chassis is manufactured by ŽustAl in Žiri, Slovenia, a precision metalworking facility operating since 1996, whose CNC machines produce components for CERN and professional motorsport. The aerospace grade aluminum doesn’t corrode in indoor environments, laser welded joints don’t develop stress fractures under cyclic loads, and we’ve tested these to destruction with hydraulic load presses. The warranty covers the frame and all welded joints. Adjustable components carry a 5-year warranty, and the powder coat finish is covered for 2 years.

The X Cage uses precision-bent aerospace grade aluminum with laser welded joints. Standard aluminium profile rigs use extruded sections bolted together at connection points. The practical differences add up: the X Cage weighs 25kg versus 40–50kg for equivalent strength in bolted profiles, has zero flex under load versus noticeable play at bracket joints, and offers precision-machined adjustment points versus loose T-slot positioning. Aluminium profile rigs are solid budget options. The X Cage is engineered to aerospace manufacturing standards.

Yes. The X Motion Kit mounts in 2–3 hours using the pre-drilled points already in the chassis and basic tools. Your wheelbase, pedals, seat, and display stay exactly where they are. Nothing needs to be modified or removed. You’re adding four actuators underneath what you already have. If you want the chassis and motion pre-assembled from the start, the X Motion System ships as one unit and saves money versus buying them separately.

Every direct drive wheelbase on the market (Simucube, Fanatec, Moza, VRS, Asetek) mounts directly to the universal quick-release pattern. Belt-driven entry wheelbases from Logitech and Thrustmaster fit too. Pedal sets from Heusinkveld, VRS, Simucube, Simtag, and others bolt into the adjustable T-slot platform at whatever spacing you need. There are no proprietary adapters, no brand lock-in, and no compatibility restrictions.

It is. Every system in our lineup is built on this exact sim racing chassis. The PS5 at the entry level and the Misha Spec at the top share the same X Cage foundation, and the only difference between them is the components bolted to it. When you upgrade over the years, you’re swapping peripherals on the same professional platform, and the chassis investment carries forward completely.

The X Cage arrives in 4 main sections with clearly labeled mounting points, and assembly takes 3–4 hours with the Allen keys and tools included in the box. No welding, drilling, or specialized equipment. If you can assemble flat-pack furniture, you can assemble the X Cage. Most customers finish in a single session.

On hard floors, the chassis is perfectly stable under heavy braking and high-torque force feedback. On low-pile carpet, it works well for static setups. High-pile carpet may compress slightly under load, so a plywood base (120cm × 80cm × 18mm) underneath distributes weight evenly. For motion setups, we recommend hard flooring or a rigid base platform, as deep carpet can absorb some actuator travel and reduce motion effectiveness.

The X Cage is the foundation. From there, it depends entirely on what you bolt to it. An entry build with a mid-range wheelbase, load-cell pedals, single display, and PC typically runs in the range of a complete S Cockpit. An enthusiast setup with premium components and triple displays gets closer to a Full Motion RS. The advantage of building on the X Cage is that you spread the cost over months or years and upgrade at your own pace rather than committing to everything at once.
